Measuring Love: A Valentine's Day Measuring Activity
This Valentine’s Day measurement pack is designed for grades K-3. Students will practice measuring the height and width of pictures using standard units (ruler) or non-standard units (included heart ruler). Each picture contains two yellow lines: one showing the height and one showing the width. These lines are meant to help students place their rulers to get more accurate measurements. There is a color and blackline for each image.
Also included are small pictures to make a class recording chart.
To use: Print and laminate the pictures and heart rulers (if you want to use those). Students measure the height and width of each picture and write the measurements on the recording sheet. When all students have measured all the pictures, have students share their measurements and record them on the class chart.
