This summer games research-creation is designed to help your class learn about the summer Olympics. You and your students will research the Olympics and many Olympic events using books and videos (or by watching the actual Olympic games). You will use graphic organizers to record the learning. Students will use the graphic organizers to write about Japan, the Olympics, and each sport. Students will learn and write about 11 different Olympic sports!
This research project can be done whole group using the included chart labels. You can assemble the recording pages to create a research journal.
Sports included: divers, swimmers, gymnasts, cyclers, high jumpers, runners, long jumpers, archers, fencers, badminton, and equestrians.
