One Word Emergent Readers

This is a set of 12 emergent readers that uses common vocabulary and pictures, and is designed for beginning readers at the start of the school year. These emergent readers help students read to themselves, building confidence and independence at the beginning of the year. After reading these whole group, students can add them to their book boxes/book bags and have books that they can successfully read on their own during read-to-self time!
