Digraphs: See It! Say It! Spell It! Mystery Words Digraph Game!

This differentiated, hands-on phonics games resource will help your students spell, decode, and write words with digraphs (sh, th, ch, wh).

These digraph games will engage your students in a variety of activities and strategies to work with digraphs in words. These science of reading-aligned mystery words centers can be done in whole groups, small groups, and centers! There are 4 different activities and recording sheets included:

• Mystery word spelling-students will identify the picture and sound. Spell the sound using letter tiles or dry erase markers. Read the word. Write the word on the recording sheet.
• Mystery Word Puzzles-students will use the sound pictures to identify the word and match the word to the correct picture. Students can write the word on the recording sheet.
• Mystery word match-students will use their sounds to decode the mystery word. They will match the mystery word to the word. They can write the word on the recording sheet.
• Mystery word game-students will watch the included videos. As pictures appear, they write the sounds to spell the word. They blend the sounds to read the word. This can also be done as an oral blending activity.
