February Activities:Phonics Project/February Bulletin Board

Celebrate Valentine's Day with this fun flower-themed resource to practice phonics and phonemic awareness! It includes over 200 words, 90 CVC words and all 26 letters. PLUS we've included an editable Powerpoint file for you to create your own CVC or sight words. This resource is designed to be a phonics recognition and assessment tool. Students will read, color, and cut out the words or letters they can identify. They will then stack them in the vase to create a bouquet. These make a cute and standards-aligne February bulletin board or Valentine's Day bulletin board!

Suggested Use:

Print the words or letters you want to assess. Call students to your table/desk one at a time. Have them read the words or letters. For each one they can read, place a small red dot on that word. When done, the student takes those flowers to color and place in their vase! Students will color and cut out only the words with the red dots.
