This bat research project is a fun, hands-on, engaging way to bring research and writing about bats into your classroom. Through whole group research, the use of anchor charts, graphic organizers, and writing activities, students will learn all about bats! Students will learn about bat bodies, where they live, what they eat and how they help people. This resource makes research and writing simple and fun for all grades preK-5.
These pages are designed to make whole class charts from which students can complete their pages separately or make into a bats research journal. For pre-K, kindergarten, and 1st grade, you can conduct your research in the whole group through read alouds and videos, and record their learning on the charts. Students can then copy their learning into their journals. For older grades, students can do independent research, complete their journals, and share their learning with the class.
