Basket of Eggs Phonics Project - Easter Activities And Spring Activities

This Easter and spring phonics activity is a great way for students to practice phonics skills. This phonics activity makes a great spring craft or spring bulletin board. This resource includes sight words, letters and sounds, and CVC words; so you can use this resource to meet every child at their level, so they can be successful and create a basket of eggs! Simply choose the best skill for each student or use the editable slides to create a project that best fits the needs of your class.

This resource includes editable slides so you can use this activity to practice and assess any skills: sight words, sounds, letters, CVC words, CVC-e words, blends, etc. You will type the words/skill you want onto the editable eggs to make this resource work for you and your students.

This project works great for Easter, spring and it even works great if you hatch chicks in your class!

Suggested Use:

Print the words you want to assess. Call students to your table/desk one at a time. Have them read the words. For every word they can read, place a small red dot on that word. Students will color and cut out only the words with the red dots.

To differentiate:

Letters -- you can use editable slides to make a letter recognition activity

Sight Words -- you can make a visual recognition activity. Have sight words written on index cards, and students can match the words on the card to the words on the paper.
