Earth Day Subitizing
Subitizing is a vital skill for our students. Just like we teach fluency in reading, we also need to teach number fluency. Subitizing is how we make our students fluent in numbers and counting. Use these cards to practice subitizing or quickly recognizing how many without counting. These gingerbread subitizing cards will make subitizing fun and easy!
Look for our subitizing videos (fast and slow) on YouTube!
Also, don't miss our Love The Earth: An Earth Day Research and Writing Project PLUS Centers! This creation is designed to bring Earth Day and recycling awareness into your classroom in a fun, hands-on, engaging way. Students will use their research skills to learn about recycling and ways to take care of the Earth, as well as use their five senses to explore their world. They use that learning to write about caring for the Earth. Also included are 12 math and literacy centers and an Earth Day hat!
Please be sure to check out our website to read our blog, download freebies & handouts in the Resource Center, see where Mr. Greg will be making appearances in the Events tab, and more. Visit our website here: The Kindergarten Smorgasboard
