Snowman Craft: Editable Phonics Project And Snowman Activities

Teachers and kids love snowman activities for winter, and this build-a-snowman project is just what your classroom needs.

Practice and assess phonics, including letter sounds, sight words, and CVC words, with this snowman craft. This is an easy-to-prep and engaging winter resource. This editable winter/January resource allows you to assess your students' ability to decode, read, and spell sight words, CVC, letters, and sounds. If you have a word or skill you want to assess that we've not included, just use the supplied PowerPoint file with editable slides to make your word(s).

This resource can be used as an assessment or to make a hallway or bulletin board display!

Suggested Use:

Print the snowballs you want to assess. Call students to your table/desk one at a time. Have them read the word/letter/sound, etc.   For every one they get correct, place a small red dot on that word. Students will color and cut out only the words with the red dots.
